As an independent, nonprofit national association,
AFA's only business is to support our nation's need for adequate
aerospace power and in turn ensure the security of the United
States of America.
By affiliating with AFA, Community Partners
have expressed their individual concern for a deterrent force
with the sufficiency to ensure national peace and security.
The Air Force Association aggressively supports
policies and programs which provide the Air Force with the
trained personnel and modern weapon systems necessary to fulfill
its mission. At the same time, AFA works for adequate pay,
housing, medical care, retirement, and survivor benefits for
both military and civilian personnel of the Air Force, Air
National Guard and Air Force Reserve. As such, Air Force personnel
and retirees consider AFA as their professional association
and AFA Community Partners share in that membership.
At the local Colorado Springs Community level,
military and civilian members meet on common ground through
the many activities hosted or sponsored by the Lance P. Sijan
Chapter. Chapter programs help in the development of community
understanding of, and support for the Air Force and its people.
Community Partner affiliation with, and participation in the
Sijan Chapter only serves to strengthen the common bond shared.
Support the local Community Partners listed
below, and let them know you both have something in common--
the Air Force Association!! If you frequent a business, large
or small who is not a Community Partner, share the benefits
with them. Refer any potential Community Partners to:
